The use of AI in Indonesia continues to grow along with technological advances and awareness of its benefits in increasing productivity and efficiency in various sectors. With rapid technological advances, AI has changed various aspects of life, from business to the public sector. In education, the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in Indonesia can be key to improving the quality of learning, overcoming the challenges of individualizing learning, and helping teachers provide more effective learning experiences for students. One of AI types that can be used for Indonesian students is machine translation. One machine translator that is often used is DeepL, a well-known platform that uses deep learning technology to perform automatic translation. This research has a systematic literature study from Indonesian students’ perception. From the results of the variable comparison table in the use of the DeepL translator machine, it can be concluded that various studies have examined the use of machine translation tools in various contexts include education. The machine translation tools also have a significant role in facilitating the translation process and other activities, although there is room for further improvement and development in the future.
